Even more disturbing is the "Ganguro" or "Yamanba" fashion trend. Starting with the bleach-white hair and heavy tan of the ganguro girl, the yamanba adds white lipstick and eye makeup and sometimes blue contacts. The result is a caricature of a blond Caucasian woman.
